Argentine legend Gabriel Batistuta is being linked with a return to Fiorentina.
The former striker announced his retirement earlier this year after playing out his final days in the Middle East.
However, Fiorentina are keen to bring Batistuta back to the club in an off-field capacity and initial talks have already been held about a scouting role.
Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle is also believed to be considering offering Batistuta a bigger job at the club inside the technical area.
Batistuta actually rejected talk of the sports director's job at Fiorentina last year, insisting he did not have the experience to take on such a responsible position.
